Vic: Police seek injured person to help with murder probe

Police are looking for an injured person with cuts to the arms as they investigate
the murder of a man in northern Victoria at the weekend.

They say a 40-year-old man found dead after a house fire at Wahgunyah,(PRON: Wa-GUN-ya)
on the Victorian border near Corowa, was stabbed numerous times before the fire broke
out.

Homicide Squad detectives say an argument apparently occurred at the house in Mill
Street some time before the fire was deliberately lit early Saturday morning.

Detectives are seeking a person with injuries to the lower arms, including cuts, who
may be able to help them with their inquiries.

They say whoever was responsible for the man's murder would have had a substantial
amount of blood on their clothes.

The dead man is yet to be positively identified.
